Meet the Wellness Works Team

​              Dr. Greg Welk
​

​Dr. Welk is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology with broad interests focused on the intersections of physical activity (PA) and public health. He conducts research on PA assessment techniques and the application of these tools for various research, surveillance and PA promotion applications.

                 Justin Lusk
​

Justin is a 3rd year PhD student who currently teaches HS 380: Worksite Health Promotion and KIN 494: Practicum in Motivational Interviewing. Justin's research interests are 
studying behavior change and learning what motivates people to make the decisions they do as it relates to their health and physical activity behaviors.

​                       Adrienne Silberstein
​

​Adrienne is a first year Masters Student ​in the Physical Activity and Health Promotion Lab. Adrienne graduated from Upper University Iowa 
from the Fayette Campus with a B.S in Exercise & Sports Science, with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness. She is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Karly Ackley

Karly is a senior graduating in spring 2021 with a degree in Kinesiology and emphasis in Physical Activity and Health Promotion. Karly plans to attend graduate school next year to earn her Masters Degree before pursuing a career in health and wellness coaching. Karly's passion is to help others become educated on the many aspects of health and wellness and guide them towards reaching their goals in an effective manner.
 
Outside of academics, Karly spends a lot of her time running, reading, and gardening. She has been a member of the Iowa State women’s cross country and track and field teams since she first came to ISU and has enjoyed the connections she has made through the sport.

Abbey is an undergraduate student studying Kinesiology and Health with an emphasis in Physical Activity and Health Promotion. She has a passion for living a life rooted in wellness and helping others do the same. Abbey has a strong interest in health coaching and bringing wellness into the workplace. Graduating this spring, she is looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in the health and wellness world. ​
