​

​Dr. Welk is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology with broad interests focused on the intersections of physical activity (PA) and public health. He conducts research on PA assessment techniques and the application of these tools for various research, surveillance and PA promotion applications.

​

Jordan is a senior in the Exercise Science track in Exercise Science and is completing her internship. She coordinates the campus outreach effort and development of county resources.

​Grace is a senior in the Exercise Science track in the Department of Kinesiology
. She coordinates the social marketing, communications and social marketing efforts.

​

Shannon is a senior in the Community and Public Health option in the Department of Kinesiology. She is completing a 1 year Public Health AmeriCorps experience and is also completing her Kinesiology Internship coordinating the integration with the Community Connections and Public Health group in the project.

                                                      Mingyue Zhang

Mingyue is a 4th Ph.D. student in the Department of Kinesiology, specializing in physical activity and health promotion. His research focuses on the dissemination of the Walk with Ease program in clinical and community settings. He is passionate about bridging research and practice to create sustainable health programs. He plays key technical roles in the project by managing the online WWE portal and coordinating registrations and information from Smartsheet.

                                                    Madhawa Perera

 Madhawa Perea is a 1st year Ph.D. student in the Department of Kinesiology, specializing in physical activity and health promotion. His research focuses on global physical activity epidemiology and effective interventions to promote sustainable physical activity habits among adults, pregnant women, and youth. Madhawa plays a key technical role in evaluating the program's process and its short- medium- and long-term outcomes.
